Georgia Couple Makes Poor Choice

On February 28,2017, a Georgia couple and their friends made a pretty bad choice. They all decided to go ridding around with the Confederate Battle flag on their trucks and SUVs. But they also showed up to a 8 year-olds birthday party and were shouting profound things and waving guns around. See I have no problem with the flag and I am a proud supporter because to me it is about heritage not hate. Yes you probably hear that all the time blah blah but to my family and I we hold it true and we are no where close to being racist. Now I do not know how this couple portrays this flag but I do know we portray it very differently if it means they do things like this. The fact that one of the party-goers at the hearing forgave them was very heartwarming. Knowing that what just happened and she could stand up and say I forgive you is amazing. Now there are people out there who take this flag in the wrong way whether it be "I don't like blacks" or "It is heritage to me", people need to learn to be open minded when they see it. If you see a person with it on their car or truck do not automatically assume that they are racist. I have the flag on my car and I do not know how many times in traffic, in a parking lot or where ever people have shouted racist at me. But it is what you have to live with if you want it on your vehicle. If you want it on there and can put on your big girl or boy pants and avoid anything negative thrown at you then you will be all set.
